Odyssey 7Q

The Odyssey7Q+ combines Convergent Design’s knowledge and experience of both broadcast and cinematography recorders, while adding the capabilities of a high-end professional monitor. Odyssey is a brilliant 7.7″ OLED monitor with 3400:1 contrast, true blacks, 1280×800 resolution and powerful monitoring tools.

The OLED Advantage

With the traditional LCD, the bulky display cell of the LCD is backlit with a line of lights or a single lighted panel. With LED, the LCD cell and assembly is still backlit but with individual lights, making up a large grid of individual lights.

What makes OLED displays better is the infinite contrast and true black. Long gone are the days of a white wash effect that turns dark bold colors into lighter colors because of white backlighting. Now all colors are projected as their true color, not just lit up with white lighting.

Odyssey LUT System

Make the most of your images when you shoot in LOG, without monitoring a flat image or confusing the client.

The included LUTs provide proper viewing of the LOG and RAW modes available from numerous popular cameras. Programmable LUTs can be loaded into the Odyssey, controlled by the easy to use touchscreen interface, measured by monitoring scopes, and are available to view on the OLED or optionally on the SDI and HDMI video outputs of the Odyssey7Q+. Multicamera Monitoring

Four is better than one. Monitor up to four cameras simultaneously.

Odyssey’s versatility doesn’t start and stop with recording functions. The unique hardware design makes it easy to monitor multiple cameras on ONE monitor. View images in a quad-split mode, or switch between full feeds for confidence and convenience.
