Red Helium 8K

RED WEAPON BRAIN with HELIUM 8K

The RED WEAPON BRAIN with HELIUM 8K S35 Sensor – Standard features RED’s HELIUM 8K S35 sensor, capable of shooting motion and stills in 8K 2.4:1 at up to 75 fps, or 8K at 60 fps. WEAPON 8K S35 owners will also be eligible to upgrade to the RED DRAGON 8K VV sensor when it becomes available.

At full 8K resolution, the HELIUM sensor captures 35.4 Megapixel motion and stills. Coupled with 60-75 fps, WEAPON 8K S35 provides an advanced VFX solution with creative flexibility. Other HELIUM sensor advancements include improved low-light sensitivity and dynamic range. 300 MB/s data rates allow you to take advantage of the lowest possible REDCODE setting, and record proxy 4K Apple ProRes or 4K Avid DNxHR formats, simultaneously.

As a DSMC2 camera, WEAPON 8K S35 benefits from advanced RED modularity, featuring cable-free peripherals, integrated mounting plate, wireless control, and compatibility with a growing number of DSMC2 modules and accessories. WEAPON also supports interchangeable lens mounts and OLPFs, enabling you to take full advantage of your existing S35-compatible PL, Nikon, Canon, and Leica lenses. This item includes a single DSMC2 Standard OLPF filter. Explore related products to view the Stealth or Filter 3-Pack iterations of this extraordinary imaging system.

NOTE: WEAPON 8K S35 is NOT compatible with 8K VV lens mounts.
